tastytrade iOS Version 3.14.0 - 12/5/23

tastytrade iOS version 3.14.0 is an exciting release that primarily introduces the ability to create and manage trading alerts in app. Also, we have added a new compact view for the positions and watchlist tab. Enable the compact view, especially in landscape mode, to display more data columns for your open positions and symbols you are tracking. Additionally, we implemented a handful of bug fixes and minor performance improvements.

Alerts

Keep track of price targets while you're on the go or navigating the app with the new alerts tab. You can generate alerts based on the bid, ask, or the last price of any tradeable underlying. An alert set on the mobile, web, or desktop platform will populate and update in unison across all platforms. So, any alert you set up on your phone will also appear in the desktop and web platform's alert tab. When one of your alerts is triggered, a notification will appear on all your open platforms, and you will receive an email notification. Also, since we can't keep our apps open 24/7, mobile users will receive a push notification when the app is closed. Check out our tutorial video below for more details.

tastytrade IOS Version 3.1.0 - 5/1/22

tastytrade IOS version 3.1.0 features several bug fixes, UI/UX improvements, and significant changes to the order form window and futures trading capabilities. Below is a brief list of the changes made:

  • Order Form Redesign
  • Roll futures from the positions tab
  • Place GTC (good until canceled) futures orders
  • Added ETF equivalent delta setting

Order Form Redesign

We have made several significant UI/UX changes to the trade table's order form page. This change better organizes the large amount of information listed in the order form window. Users can now scroll through order form editing tools (left and right swipes). Additionally, you can expand the order form window to view additional trade metrics. Tap on the arrow in the top right of the order form window to expand or minimize.

GTC Futures Orders on mobile

Users can now place GTC (good until canceled) orders for all CME futures products on the IOS application. GTC orders allow customers to place opening and closing futures orders without needing to replace them at the start of each session. Please see the note below for additional information.

Roll Futures from the Positions Tab

Quickly roll your futures positions on the mobile app through the positions tab. Tap on the futures position you wish to roll and then tap on Roll Futures. An order form will be generated to roll your position to the next applicable expiration (rolling June to September in the example below).

ETQ Equivalent Delta in Settings and Positions Tab

You can now toggle show futures delta using equivalent ETF/stock symbol setting within the iPhone app. Column Header change from "Δ" to "ETF Δ" if ETF Equivalent Delta is enabled. The ETF equivalent delta value displays in place of the "Net Delta" column of futures positions. When enabled, your position's tab Net Delta column shows "ETF Δ."

ETF Equivalent Delta will only appear if your account(s) is enabled for futures trading. Enabling the ETF Delta Equivalent setting in a non-futures-enabled account will not affect the display on your positions page.
