Looking for stocks with high implied volatility in a watchlist shouldn’t be a wild goose chase. You can search for or exclude stocks with upcoming earnings, filter down for stocks within a specific IV Rank, and particular liquidity level.
How to Filter and Screen for Stocks or ETFs
Choose a Watchlist then Click the Funnel Icon
To access the Watchlist Filter, head to the watchlist tab. Once inside the watchlist tab, select a watchlist from the drop-down menu (#1). After picking, click the funnel icon on the top right-hand corner of the watchlist window (#2). A Quote Filter menu will appear where you can narrow down your search (#3).
The funnel icon turns bluewhen you apply a filter to a watchlist. If you are in the Watchlist tab and feel like you are "missing" some symbols, then chances are, your filter may still be enabled. To disable any filter settings, click the funnel icon and click Reset at the bottom of the filter menu.
How to sort a watchlist
Click the column heading to sort in ascending or descending order
You can also sort your watchlist in ascending or descending order by clicking the column label heading. When clicking the header, an arrow will appear to the left of the column label. An arrow pointing up denotes ascending order (smallest to largest or A to Z) and an arrow pointing down indicates descending order (largest to smallest or Z to A). When an arrow is not present, then you may click and drag symbols to display them in a custom order.
