Wanting to customize how your positions are grouped? Now you are able to! We have added a new feature that will allow custom grouping of positions up to 4 legs. This will allow you to group shares, options, futures and options on futures into groups you wish to look at. 

What can be grouped?

Any positions of the same underlying can be grouped on the platform together.

• Shares and options
• Options and options
• Futures and options on futures 
• Options on futures and options on futures

Any adjustment require a custom group to be ungrouped and then regrouped. Rolls and closed positions that are a part of a custom group will erase the custom group. 

Desktop Platform

Within the Desktop Platform's positions tab, users can now fully customize how they group their positions. Navigate to the Group By filter at the top of the positions tab and select Custom.

Once in custom grouping mode left-click to select each leg you wish to group. After selecting the desired legs, right click on the selected legs and a quick action menu will appear. Scroll over GROUP POSITIONS and the custom group creator will appear.   

Type in a custom name and then click Group to complete. To ungroup a custom group, right click on the custom group or legs within the group and then click on ungroup positions.

Web Browser Platform

Within the Web Platform’s Positions Tab (at my.tastytrade.com), users can now fully customize how they group their positions. Navigate to the Group By filter at the top of the positions tab and select Custom. Then left-click to select each leg you wish to group.  

Once all legs are selected, click on Actions in the bottom left corner of the window, and a grouping screen will populate. Type in a custom name and then click Group to complete.  

Mobile

Enhance your mobile trading experience with custom grouping. With our new grouping filter, you can quickly organize and manage your positions in a way that suits your individual preferences and strategies. To set up custom grouping, users must first set their position tab grouping filter found at the top of the tab to CUSTOM. 

Once the positions tab is set to custom grouping, each position will initially group under its symbol row. Tap on the symbol row to view all positions in the underlying, and then tab the legs you wish to group (up to 4 legs). Once two or more legs are selected, a quick action menu will appear. Under the INFO section, tap on the Group Positions Button. All selected legs will be grouped, and the platform will prompt you to type in a group name. Enter the group name and then tap the green Group Positions button to save.  

To ungroup, tap on an established group name or group header to select the entire group. Once the quick action menu appears, tap on Ungroup Positions to ungroup all legs. Individual legs cannot be ungrouped or added to an established group.
