For your reference, we’ve created a legend of each icon on the desktop platform that should give you a clearer idea of the functions and meaning of various platform icons.
Alerts - Located in the Symbol Detail menu.
Displays details for your accounts (Portfolio delta, theta, Net Liq, P/L Day, etc.) - Located on the top right-hand side of the platform tab window.
AM Designation - An option that has an AM expiry.
Displays account balances. It is located next to the account number when the Accounts dropdown menu (icon above) is expanded rather than collapsed. To learn more about the balances dropdown menu, please click here.
Beta Weighted Deltas - Located in the Position tab and (if displayed) in the Accounts drop-down menu. To learn more about beta weighting, please click here.
Canceled - Located in the Order pane, which appears in the right sidebar menu or in the Activity tab; this icon indicates a canceled order.
or Connection Status - Located in the bottom left-hand corner of the platform.
CSV Download - Located in the Positions tab and History tab; clicking this icon will trigger the download of a .CSV (spreadsheet) file.
Delta - Located in the Positions tab (if displayed) or wherever underlying details are shown.
Dividend - An upcoming dividend ex-date is approaching. The dividend date also displays in the Table Mode of the Trade tab. It will display above the expiration the ex-date falls under.
or Earnings announcement before market open or after the market close - Located in the Quote Detail area in the right sidebar menu and Watchlists (if "Earnings Date" column is added). The left arrow “<” denotes before the bell, or open, and the right arrow “>” denotes after the bell, or close.
Earnings with day countdown - located under the ‘Underlying Indicator’ column and Symbol Detail.
Earnings - Upcoming earnings date; located under Symbol Detail. The earnings date also displays in the Table Mode of the Trade tab. It will display above the expiration the earnings date falls under.
Flatten - Located within an open position in the Active Trader Interface. Clicking flatten will cancel all working orders for a specific underlying and close out the position so the account is flat (no open position on a specific underlying). Flatten does not liquidate the whole portfolio.
Filled - Located in the Order pane, which appears in the right sidebar menu or in the Activity tab; indicates a filled order.
Filter Funnel - Located in the Trade and Watchlist tabs; enables you to filter different expirations (Trade tab) or conditional metrics (Watchlist tab).
Gamma - Located in the Positions tab (if displayed) or wherever underlying details are shown.
or Sidebar menu show and hide, respectively - Located on the top right-hand corner of the platform. Clicking this will make the right sidebar menu appear/disappear. In the menu, you can see Symbol Details, Position Details, and the Order pane.
or In-the-Money (ITM) - Displayed next to symbols in the Positions tab whenever an options position is in-the-money. A red ITM indicates an options leg with zero days to expiration (0 DTE).
Liquidity Indicator - Liquidity of the symbol on a 1-4 scale, with 4 being the highest; the results displayed by this indicator are based on tastylive’s proprietary formula.
Live activity filtering range - If displayed, this icon is located next to the filter menu in the Activity tab; when this icon appears, it indicates that the way you’ve filtered your date range to view your trading activity includes today’s date, so you are viewing the tab on a “live” or “activity-to-date” basis (End Date for the filter range will be the current date).
Not-live/historical activity filtering range - If displayed, this icon is located next to the filter menu in the Activity tab; when this icon appears, it indicates that the way you’ve filtered your date range to view your trading activity does not include today’s date, so you are viewing the tab on a “not-live” or “historical activity” basis (End Date for the filter range will be a prior date).
Markets are Live and Connected - Located in the bottom left-hand corner of the platform.
Markets are not open or Lost Connection - Located in the bottom left-hand corner of the platform.
Page Indicators - Located wherever there is an overflow of displayed columns; empty circles indicate another page.
Partially-filled order - Located in the Order pane or Activity tab; the fraction shows the portion of the order that has already been filled.
Partial fill & Canceled order - Located in the Order pane or Activity tab; this indicates an order that was partially filled but was canceled.
Partial fill & Expired order - Located in the Order pane or Activity tab; this indicates an order that was partially filled but then expired. For example, a day order that was not completely filled would be considered expired at the market close that day.
or Pop-out or Pop-in, respectively, the right sidebar from the desktop platform.
Position in multiple accounts - Located next to relevant symbols in the Positions tab; a color palette icon will appear when positions in the same underlying exist in multiple accounts.
Quotes Down and Not Operating - Located in the bottom left-hand corner of the platform.
Quotes Live and Operating - Located in the bottom left-hand corner of the platform.
Delayed Quotes - Located in the bottom left-hand corner of the platform. Primarily affects users that do not have a funded account.
Refresh - Located above the Order pane window in the right sidebar menu on the right-hand side of the platform window.
Reject - Located in the Order pane in the right sidebar menu as well as in the Activity tab; if you hover over this icon, you will be able to see why an order was rejected.
Settings Menu - Located throughout the platform; all of these little cog/sprocket icons take you to the same general platform settings menu, but they differ in that they will direct you to different parts of the menu (like quick-links).
Theta - Located in the Positions tab (if displayed) or wherever underlying details are shown.
or Trade Shield - Located next to your account number(s) when the Accounts drop-down menu is fully expanded rather than collapsed. When the Trade Shield next to a specific account is shaded white, that indicates that the account is your default trading account (the one your orders will be routed through). Clicking on a gray Trade Shield next to another account will switch that account to your default trading account and turn its Shield white.
