Importing and Exporting a Watchlist

Do you have a large list of symbols that you want to create a watchlist for? You can import a CSV file from your spreadsheet program such as excel or a trading platform to quickly add several symbols at once to a personal watchlist.

How to import a Watchlist using a CSV file

First, in order for the import to be successful your CSV file must contain the word SYMBOL in the header row or Row 1 of the spreadsheet. Only the text below the symbol header will be imported. All other columns and text will be ignored. Please see example below:

Second, you must have created a personal watchlist first in order to import the CSV file.

Please note on CSV files are supported. You cannot import any other spreadsheet file formats such as .tsv, .xls, .xlsx, etc.

We have attached a blank CSV template you may use at the bottom of this help article.

To get started importing a watchlist go to the Settings menu by clicking the gear icon. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to guide you through the process.
