At this time, accounts cannot be converted. For example, a cash account cannot be converted to a margin account or vice-versa. To open a different account type, sign in to your account at tastytrade.com. After signing in, scroll down beneath the blue Account Status area select the Open Another Account button. After opening your new account, you may close any old account or unnecessary accounts by emailing our accounts team at accounts@tastytrade.com. Please write from the email address associated with your tastytrade account and include the account number and a brief reason for closing the account when requesting.
You can request that your IRA be a cash only IRA by emailing accounts@tastytrade.com.
