Two Funding Methods For International Accounts

As an international customer, you have two methods to fund your account

International customers have two funding methods. Both funding methods must be made in USD and cannot come from a third party. tastytrade does not provide any currency conversion services. The two most common funding methods are:

  1. Bank wire
  2. CurrencyFair
Funds should come from the country of residence and where the trade activity is being conducted. ACH relationships cannot be linked to international bank accounts, TransferWise accounts, or Revolut Accounts.


List of countries that CurrencyFair can accept registrations from

Anguilla, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Curacao, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guadeloupe, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Helena, Saint Martin (FR), Saint Pierre and Miquelon, San Marino, Singapore, Sint Maarten (NL), Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom. Wallis and Futuna.

CurrencyFair presently supports the following 17 currencies when sending in money to your account: AED, EUR, PLN, AUD, GBP, SEK, CAD, HKD, SGD, CHF, HUF, USD, CZK, NOK, ZAR, DKK, NZD   

Please note that tastytrade can only receive funds in USD.  

 

How long does it take?

About 3-5 business days after initiating the transfer

Fund transfers from international sources can take 3-5 business days to post in your tastytrade trading account after initiating the transfer from your bank via wire or via CurrencyFair.


Can I deposit money using Revolut or XE Currency?

Deposits cannot be made using Revolut or XE Currency

Funds sent using either of these services are subject to a return. Rejected deposits are potentially subject to a $30 reversal fee issued by our clearing firm. To avoid any reversal fees, we suggest using CurrencyFair or bank wire to deposit funds.


Other funding methods not allowed

In short, any non-traditional banks are not allowed

Other funding methods such as Western Union, MoneyGram, PayPal, Payoneer, debit cards, and credit cards are not valid funding sources that our clearing firm will accept. To fund your account we strongly suggest using a traditional bank wire or CurrencyFair.
