Do you like pie? Well, if you want your slice in the form of stock in a company then you can purchase shares. The same can be said if you don’t like a particular company and you want to short it. Both order types can be achieved with a couple of clicks. If you know how to type a symbol into the platform and get a quote, then you’re halfway there! Desktop Platform
- Sign in to the platform.
- Type the symbol into the symbol field located along the top side of the platform. Once the symbol is entered, please press enter.
Overall view
- The symbol’s last, change, bid, ask, size, volume, and company name will populate along the top.
- LONG stock order: click ASK
- SHORT stock order: click BID

Red box - clicking BID creates a SELL to open (short) order
Green box - clicking ASK creates a BUY to open (long) order
- After clicking bid or ask, you will enter into the Trade tab with an order ticket generated below.
- Within the order ticket, you can see your resulting position from the order (1), quantity (2), price (3), order type (4), and time-in-force (TIF) (5).

- When your order ticket looks good, and you’re ready to ship it off then click “Review & Send” to review the order before making it sending it.
Web Browser Platform
- Sign in to the web-based platform, or click here.
- Once logged in, click the Trade Icon, located near the top left-hand corner of the site, located below “MORE.” The Trade window will appear when the Trade icon is clicked.
- Click the “stock” tab, located on the top left-hand corner of the Trade window. Then type the symbol of the underlying you want to trade into the symbol field.
- Within the order ticket, you can see your resulting position from the order (1), quantity (2), price (3), order type (4), and time-in-force (TIF) (5).
