There are two things in life you cannot escape: death and taxes. Now that a year of trading has passed, when can you expect your Consolidated 1099 (“1099s”) from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and where can you find it?
Also, as a reminder, retirement accounts (IRAs) do not receive a Consolidated 1099. Only taxable, non-retirement accounts, will receive a Consolidated 1099. To learn what generates a Consolidated 1099, please click here.
